Mr. Ravi Prakash Verma

Mr. Ravi Prakash Verma comes from a legacy of three generations of freedom fighters, social activists, and political figures in India. Both his father and mother have served in the Indian Parliament. Mr. Verma has been a Member of Parliament for over 25 years and is currently a member of the Rajya Sabha (India’s upper house of Parliament). He is India’s foremost champion of education and has also served as the convener of the Parliament Forum on Education, which catalysed the constitutional amendment to the Right to Education Act, ensuring free and compulsory education for children.

Mr. Rajeev Bhardwaj

Mr. Rajeev Bhardwaj has been a social worker and an activist for more than 35 years. He has extensive experience in working with grassroots organisations and social movements.

Mr. Anand Kumar

Mr. Anand Kumar is a lawyer with almost 20 years of experience working on child protection issues. Some of the landmark judgments of the Supreme Court of India and various High Courts of India on missing children, trafficking, child labour, and juvenile justice have come in cases filed by him.

Mr. Dhawal Dalal

Mr. Dhawal Dalal is a versatile, self-motivated key management professional with over 35 years of experience and proven abilities in organisational management at all levels. He has a significant background in resource mobilisation, sales, stakeholder management, and deal-making. He is an expert in developing partnerships, overseeing personnel, and creating tactical plans to meet strategic goals. As a quick and firm decision-maker with first-rate communication skills, he is recognised for successfully collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop work plans, financials, and strategies.

Ms. Sampurna Behura

Ms. Sampurna Behura is a long-time human rights activist and legal expert. She holds a Doctorate from Central University, Hyderabad, and has over 27 years of experience in handling legal cases involving violation of rights of children, women, tribals, dalits and transgenders. She regularly conducts training programs on the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act, POCSO, trafficking, and other child-related laws at the CBI, National Police Academy, and State Judicial Academies and has been a guest faculty for National Law School, Bangalore, Christ Law Collage, etc.

Her PILs in the Hon’ble Supreme Court and various High Courts especially the landmark PIL of Sampurna Behura vs Union of India WP (Civil) 473 of 2005, have changed the course of legal liberty for children in India and have brought many changes in the discourse of child rights.

Mr. K C George

Mr. K C George is a social worker by profession and trainer by passion. He is also a merit award holder with distinction in English Literature at the graduation level. He is a National-level Trainer and a certified Master Trainer on subjects/issues like Gender, Women Development, Child Protection, Adoption, Networking of Self-help Groups, Women Empowerment, Community Resource Mobilization, and Early Childhood Education.  As a prolific writer, he contributes regularly to various journals and magazines that deal with issues related to child protection, child development, women empowerment and gender.

 

He has also conducted and supervised more than 25 National-level research studies on gender development and women empowerment. He has supervised more than 100 research studies and has published one book viz. "Women Stand Upto...." by Supriya Publication in 2014. He is also a patron of various philanthropic organisations like Distress Management Collective India, the World Malayali Federation, and the World Catholic Congress. He was actively involved in the rehabilitation of people affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was a coordinator for all flagship programmes of the Government viz. ICDS, Swashakti, ICPS and Hauzla etc.

Ms. Sangita Gaur

Ms. Sangita Gaur has rich experience of 19+ years in training and capacity building, disaster management, and teaching. She has prepared various training materials including the syllabus, training modules, posters, and leaflets on child rights, child protection, and disaster management.  She has also worked as a Guest Faculty for MSW students in the Department of Social Work, Jamia Millia Islamia. Before joining ICP, she was associated with the Ministry of Women and Child Development as a Senior Consultant, Child Protection Services. Presently, she is associated with the organisation as Assistant Director and is responsible for ensuring training and capacity building of child protection functionaries across the country.

Dr. Purujit Praharaj​

Dr. Purujit Praharaj is a passionate, focused, and result-oriented research professional with over 16 years of experience in the development sector and has served academic institutions, government and non-government organisations, and consulting firms in numerous capacities. His research expertise is in various domains including Child Rights, Child Protection, Maternal Health, Child Health, Sexual and Adolescent Health, Water Hygiene and Sanitation, Tribal Health, and Development.

 

He has completed his higher education at premier institutes like the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, and the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai. With a multidisciplinary academic background, he has expertise in developing scientific research strategies using both quantitative and qualitative research approaches and considering ethical implications associated with scientific research practice. He has led several research studies varying from small-scale formative research to large-scale sample surveys investigating a number of issues. In addition, he has multiple publications in reputed peer-reviewed national and international journals.

Ms. Rashmi Kulkarni

Ms. Rashmi Kulkarni has 16 years of experience in partnerships, communication, and media across advertising, microfinance, and social development sectors, both national and international. As an accomplished and performance-driven communications expert, she excels in designing and implementing media and stakeholder-centric communication strategies. She is a trained professional and out-of-the-box thinker, with a proven ability to shape an organisation’s public messaging, positively impacting revenue and brand awareness.
